Metcalfe Allen are proud to support a number of small charities and were delighted to be invited to be kit sponsors for the South Devon Football League club Newton Abbot ’66 AFC for the 2010/11 & 2011/12 seasons. “Providing kits for both the first team and the reserves is a great privilege” says Jerry Allen whose association with the Club goes back to 1983. “As a player between 1983 and 1997 and as a committee member and Club Secretary between 1989 and 1997 it is fantastic to be able to support the club at this time, particularly as my eldest brother Paul is the current First Team Coach”.

Along with the 2 senior teams, the club runs 9 junior teams (with ages ranging from 8 to 15)  in the Pioneer League and the strong and capable committee organizes tournaments and events throughout the year including South Devon’s premier summer 5-a-side tournament at Osborne Park .
Each Season culminates in the annual Dinner & Presentation Night held at the English Riviera Centre in Torquay. “With well over 200 in attendance, it was both a daunting priveledge and an absolute pleasure to be invited to compere the event last summer” say Jerry.
