Unfortunately, the old Birdbox camera has failed, so Paul has built a brand new Birdbox complete with a new HD colour camera for even more stunning footage.

When Paul went to remove the old Box, he found that our Bluetits had already built a new nest and so we have taken the decision to leave the old Box in place.

This, of course, means that we are unable to bring you any live views at the moment, however, once the chicks have flown, we will mount the new box, possibly in time for a second brood this year, and get the new camera on line & available.

Great news – our Bluetit has laid her eggs and our bluetit birdbox camera is currently showing live images of the nest.

Having roosted in the bird box right through the winter the female has been very busy nest building and is now sitting on her eggs.

It’s been a fascinating winter in the bird box because, having removed last year’s nesting material, the female just roosted in the empty box without even attempting to make a nest of any kind.
